General Description of Position and Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Qualified part-time instructor(s) needed for the Computer Aided Design (CAD) program in the Computer Information Department of NorthWest Arkansas Community College. The instructor(s) will teach for the upcoming fall semester (8/21-12/8/2017). Our need is to find one or more part-time instructors who can teach one or more of the following classes:
• Parametric Modeling-SolidWorks (late afternoon or evening, exact time tbd)
• Computer Aided Manufacturing (Tuesdays & Thursdays, 7:00-8:15 pm)
• Design & Production Technology (Tuesdays & Thursdays, 5:30-6:45 pm)

Required Work Experience

Must have 5-10 years’ experience and have technical proficiency in two software platforms that may include: AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, or MasterCAM.

Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree/Certification in any discipline that may include: CAD, Engineering, or Manufacturing.

Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares materials for instruction and presentations.
• Explains subject concepts utilizing a variety of teaching methods and strategies.
• Develops your classroom management plan and shares with the students.
• Provides classroom instruction on demonstrating skills, assess student progress, and corrects any unsafe or poor techniques.
• Utilizes Success Planner to track daily attendance.
• Meets deadlines for reporting and grades.
• Maintains grade sheets for documentation.

Work is performed primarily during the evenings throughout the week (no weekends), Work is completed under limited supervision. Incumbent generally performs work in a typical classroom or laboratory setting with appropriate climate controls.
